Job summary

AlixPartners Southfield, MI-based Cloud Strategy Director role leads enterprise cloud and platform strategy with emphasis on AI-enabled platforms, GitHub-centric delivery, GitOps, IaC (Terraform), and containerized architectures. Reports to the Head of Engineering in a hybrid setup.

Requires deep Azure expertise and 5+ years in strategy/senior leadership. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a hybrid work model within a dynamic, diverse environment focused on value

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive cloud/platform leadership experience.
• Proven track record defining enterprise-scale cloud/AI strategies in regulated environments.
• Strong governance, FinOps, security, and risk management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise cloud and platform strategy across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Lead AI/ML and LLM platform strategy with governance and operational readiness.
• Establish GitOps, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD standards across teams.
• Guide container platforms and cloud-native architectures for reliability and security.
• Engage executives with clear reporting on value realization, cost transparency, and risk.
