Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a hardware reliability engineer to own fleet quality across deployed storage platforms. You will lead failure analysis, drive corrective actions, and translate findings into next‑generation design requirements for NVMe/SSD subsystems and serviceable components.

You will work with ODMs and datacenter teams to ensure platform robustness and end‑to‑end reliability, covering validation, debugging, and cross‑team collaboration in a large cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years hardware design, development and validation for server or compute platforms.
• Experience with thermal/mechanical design, power delivery, high-speed signal integrity, or accelerator subsystems.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and validation tests.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet quality metrics post-launch and drive root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with ODM/JDM partners and suppliers on corrective actions.
• Define test content additions and validation strategies from PCBA bring-up through server integration.
• Triage hardware issues at ODM facilities and datacenters.
