Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Intersight SRE team within Cisco's Data Center Compute portfolio. You will help build and operate highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure spanning cloud and on-prem environments.

You will collaborate with software engineering, security, and product teams to improve reliability, automation, and observability, and you will participate in production operations, releases, and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or higher, with 5+ years of related experience per listing
• Experience designing scalable, reliable, production-ready cloud infrastructure solutions
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
• Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, networking, security, and CI/CD
• Strong observability and monitoring experience (metrics, logs, traces, dashboards)
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages and software development principles

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, and operate reliable cloud infrastructure at scale for Intersight
• Improve service reliability via monitoring, observability, automation, capacity management, and SRE best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, drive corrective actions
• Build tooling with Python, Go, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD processes
• Collaborate with software engineering, security, and platform teams to boost scalability, availability, and security
• Participate in production operations, releases, and on-call responsibilities
