Job summary

Garmin International in the United States is seeking a full-time Cloud Solutions Architect at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

This brand-new group sets standards for cloud enablement and reliability across Garmin, partnering with software teams to guide transformations and accelerate cloud adoption.

You’ll collaborate with the Cloud Platform Engineering team to evolve internal cloud services while mentoring engineers and delivering scalable, resilient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field and 9+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent academics (GPA ≥ 3.0)
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#
• Experience delivering technology solutions
• Experience designing multi-system applications
• Experience with microservices and Git
• Proficiency with automated testing tools

Responsibilities

• Contributes to architecture roadmaps and development standards
• Leads major development projects with multiple components
• Identifies opportunities to improve stability, performance, maintainability
• Mentors less experienced engineers
• Shapes evolution of Garmin's internal cloud services
• Collaborates with engineering teams to drive cloud adoption
