Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor to State and Local Government and Higher Education customers in the New England region.

You will combine your communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to learn new technologies to guide diverse organizations through their cloud journey. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of innovation and public service, helping government agencies and universities architect

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 2+ years in technology domains (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud architecture solutions for State and Local Government and Higher Education customers, focusing on security, scalability, and performance.
• Lead architecture reviews, workshops, and proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate innovative cloud solutions.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor by understanding customer context and translating needs into technical requirements.
• Collaborate with account teams, professional services, and AWS engineering to scope engagements with clear objectives and drive value.
• Educate customers and teams by delivering technical content and best practices while sharing knowledge with the Solutions Architecture community.
