Job summary

Validatek in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable cloud solutions using Azure, AWS, and AWS GovCloud. You will develop applications with Node.js and Python, build front-ends with Angular, and automate deployments through CI/CD pipelines in a security-conscious DevSecOps environment.

This full-time hybrid role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 7+ years of cloud engineering/architecture experience, with DHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent.
• 7+ years of cloud engineering/architecture experience.
• Proven experience with Azure, AWS, and AWS GovCloud.
• Proficiency in Node.js and Python; front-end with Angular.
• Experience automating deployments for containerized microservices via CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong security design principles with risk assessment and mitigation.
• Extensive DevOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and AWS services.
• Ability to deliver scalable cloud solutions that meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect robust cloud solutions leveraging Azure , AWS , and AWS GovCloud to meet business requirements and ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain applications using technologies such as Node.js and Python , ensuring best practices in coding and application architecture.
• Implement front-end solutions using frameworks like Angular , ensuring a seamless user experience and effective integration with back-end services.

• Utilize DevSecOps practices to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring that security requirements are met and risks are effectively mitigated.
• Proficiently use DevOps tools such as Docker , Kubernetes , Jenkins , and various AWS services to optimize development and operational workflows.
• Conduct thorough security assessments and testing of cloud solutions to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cloud-based solutions that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Co mputer Science related field and 7 + years of cloud engineering/architecture experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Experience within the DHA theater – highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect with a strong focus on Azure , AWS , and AWS GovCloud .
• Proficient in programming languages such as Node.js and Python , with hands-on experience in front-end development using Angular .
• Demonstrated expertise in automating deployment processes for containerized microservices using CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in security design principles, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies, with a focus on ensuring secure cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Docker , Kubernetes , Jenkins , and a variety of AWS services .
• Ability to architect and deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions that meet organizational needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
