Job summary

The Tucson Unified School District seeks a senior IT administrator responsible for planning, controlling and managing cloud resources to support district operations. This role integrates cloud architecture into the organization's objectives and oversees security, access controls, and data management across Student Information and Identity Management systems.

Location: Technology Services. This is a 12 month, 1.0 FTE position with benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years enterprise computing experience.
• 4 years project management or enterprise information system security/infrastructure experience.
• Demonstrated accomplishments in an enterprise-scale cloud computing environment.
• Knowledge of analysis techniques and system analysis design.

Job description

Summary

Plans, controls and manages cloud resources in support of the organizational business functions. Integrates cloud architecture into organization’s strategic objective. Establishes design standards, access and security measures. Reviews and recommends hardware, operating systems and software for data and information management. Manages cloud-based Microsoft database systems and applications including those related to Student Information, Identity Management and Security.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR four (4) years of working experience in enterprise computing environments. AND
• Four (4) years of project management or work experience in enterprise information system security and infrastructure.
• Demonstrated accomplishments in an enterprise-scale cloud computing environment
• Knowledge of analysis techniques and system analysis design
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day

Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
