Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to help customers design and migrate cloud solutions in the Arlington, VA area. You will own the technical engagements, advise on architectures, and articulate security best practices for applications and networks.

The role emphasizes migrating legacy systems to the cloud, working with AWS services from a dev/ops perspective, and sharing best practices within the AWS Solution Architect community. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement around specific implementation projects.
• Provide best practices to customers, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practices within the AWS Solution Architect community.
