Job summary

Quevera is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead enterprise cloud modernization in Ft. Meade, MD. You will migrate applications to AWS, design serverless solutions, and ensure resilience across regions.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a strong AWS background, and leadership in complex cloud migrations. You will collaborate with engineering teams and drive architecture decisions while meeting security and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud architecture experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and engineering experience.
• Experience migrating from Azure, GCP, VMware Cloud, or other environments to AWS.
• Strong experience designing AWS serverless architectures.
• Experience designing HOT-HOT (active-active) multi-region AWS deployments.
• Hands-on experience with FSx for Windows File Server, including multi-region replication.
• Hybrid cloud environments integrating AWS with on-premises infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security, storage, compute, and DR services.
• IaC experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise file services.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of enterprise apps from existing cloud platforms to AWS using lift-and-shift and modernization.
• Design and implement serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge).
• Develop HOT-HOT resiliency solutions across multiple AWS Regions.
• Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including on‑prem backup and failover.
• Architect and deploy Amazon FSx for Windows File Server with multi-region replication.
• Design hybrid cloud solutions integrating AWS with on‑prem infrastructure.
• Develop cloud networking using VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VPNs, Direct Connect.
• Automate cloud deployments with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, performance, availability, resiliency requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and cloud migration support throughout the project lifecycle.

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support enterprise cloud modernization and migration initiatives in Ft. Meade, Maryland. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for migrating enterprise applications from an existing cloud platform to AWS while modernizing applications for serverless deployment. You will design and implement resilient, highly available cloud architectures supporting multi-region operations, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud integration. Working alongside engineering teams and project stakeholders, you will develop scalable cloud solutions, automate infrastructure deployments, and provide technical leadership throughout the cloud migration lifecycle. This role requires extensive experience with AWS architecture, cloud migration strategies, enterprise storage, infrastructure resiliency, and modern cloud engineering best practices.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud architecture experience.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on AWS architecture and engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading cloud migrations from Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMware Cloud, or other cloud environments into AWS.
• Strong experience designing and implementing AWS serverless architectures.
• Experience designing HOT-HOT (active-active) multi-region AWS deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon FSx for Windows File Server, including multi-region replication and Active Directory integration.
• Experience designing hybrid cloud environments integrating AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security, storage, compute, and disaster recovery services.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise file services.
• Excellent communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
