Job summary

Armison Tech in Northern Virginia seeks an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to deliver robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for government projects. You will shape architecture, lead cloud initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mission needs in an on-site Chantilly environment.

The role requires active TS/SCI with polygraph, strong Python/Java/JavaScript, SQL skills, and hands-on AWS/Azure/GCP design experience with security controls.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, and shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and JSON/XML formats.
• Secure, scalable cloud infra design in AWS/Azure/GCP and cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
• Cloud security best practices, encryption, access control, compliance frameworks.
• Cybersecurity principles: DNS, routing, VPNs, certificates.
• Systems architecture, virtualization (VMware), and IAAS deployment.
• Lead full lifecycle systems development; ICD 503 and A&A familiarity.
• Hands-on with Elasticsearch, Neo4j; data enrichment with Python/SQL.
• Git, JIRA, CI/CD; DevSecOps and secure coding standards.
• DESIRED: CISSP, CEH, or CISM certifications.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will utilize your deep experience and understanding of cutting edge and developing cloud technology to help deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions for our customer. You will deliver support specializing in cloud development using relevant tools, processes, and integrated systems to format, load, analyze, and display large-volume data streams that arrive in a variety of formats, and develop new tools and applications on mission-critical projects.

Desired Qualifications:

• Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, and shell scripting for automation and data processing tasks.
• Experience with SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL for relational database development and querying large databases, as well as the ability to work with structured and unstructured data formats including JSON and XML.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proven ability to configure and maintain cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, and IAM roles.
• Experience with cloud security best practices, including encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks.
• A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles including DNS, routing, VPNs, and certificate authentication.
• Demonstrated experience in systems architecture, virtualization (VMWare), and infrastructure, and Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS)deployment.
• A demonstrated ability to lead full lifecycle systems development including design, testing, and integration as well as familiarity with ICD 503 and A&A processes for secure system accreditation.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Neo4j, and other graph or search databases, and the ability to transform and enrich data for analytics using Python, SQL, and cloud-native tools.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines for agile software delivery, and familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure coding standards.
• DESIRED: Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM.
