Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer in Annapolis, MD to support a mission-critical national security program. You will design, develop, and sustain cloud-based software across customer enclaves, leveraging microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and Python.

Collaborate with cross-agency stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions, participate in architecture reviews, and optimize performance. Required: TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years of software engineering experience, and applicable

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• No degree required; 8+ years of relevant experience required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (Security+ or higher)
• One of the following certifications is required: AWS Certified Developer - Associate; AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional; Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD); Elastic Certified Engineer
• Candidates must provide proof of certifications during the screening or offer process

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions
• Support full lifecycle software engineering including design, integration, testing, and sustainment
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues
• Support system enhancements, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
• Collaborate with team members to review and refine software components
• Assist in shaping technical approaches, timelines, and project scope
