The role emphasizes containerization, API development, data querying, and scalable cloud service design, with strong emphasis on security clearances and modern cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly security clearance required.
• BS in Computer Science or related discipline; substitutions apply.
• MS degree may substitute for two years of experience in some cases.
• 4+ years of relevant cloud domain experience.
• Experience implementing code that interacts with Cloud Distributed File System.
• Experience implementing architectures for MapReduce analytics.
• Experience implementing code that interacts with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
• CERTIFICATIONS may substitute for one year of cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, integrate and test new features for cloud native services.
• Conduct containerization and deployment training with hands-on exercises.
• Develop API-based interfaces to support search and presentation of data.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance needs.
• Debug existing software and fix defects.
• Provide recommendations to improve documentation and development standards.
• Design and code software to add new features and modify existing ones.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems and environments.
• Develop data queries for databases and data repositories.
• Write and review software and system documentation.
• Design and implement complex database interfaces/queries.
• Develop algorithms to meet performance standards.
• Assist with test procedures for software components.
• Analyze system performance and user needs to guide development.
• Modify software to adapt to new hardware and improve performance.
• Design and modify software using analytical models to predict outcomes.
• Develop cloud-based applications using containerization and orchestration.
• Apply configuration management and best practices in software development.
