Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer 1 in Fort Meade, MD to design, develop, and deploy enterprise cloud-based solutions for mission-driven programs. You will join an Agile team to build scalable cloud-native applications supporting large-scale compute and data analytics platforms.

The ideal candidate has strong coding skills in Java, Python, or C++, experience with Linux, and is eligible for an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 0 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or related technical field; OR
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or related technical field in lieu of a degree.
• Qualifying experience must include requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, or problem diagnosis and resolution
• Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical disciplines will be considered
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
• Experience working within Linux-based operating systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy enterprise cloud-based solutions within a mission-driven environment.
• Contribute to design, development, integration, and maintenance of scalable cloud-native applications.
• Work within an Agile development team to implement secure and reliable software across cloud environments.
• Support national security programs with enhanced benefits and a discretionary bonus plan.
