Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Level 2 Cloud Software Engineer to develop and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems. Responsibilities include back-end processing, information retrieval, and cloud analytics, using Hadoop, MapReduce and distributed frameworks.

Requires active TS/SCI with poly, eight years of software engineering experience on relevant programs, and a Bachelor’s degree (or four additional years of equivalent experience).

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.
• Eight years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope.
• Two years of experience with Big-Data Cloud technologies or Distributed Computing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge of Information Retrieval; assist in designing, developing and testing Cloud IR.
• Implement complex MapReduce workflows for cloud analytics.
• Implement code interacting with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
• Oversee one or more development tasks and ensure closure per process standards.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and development processes.
