Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking a Lead Cloud Software Developer to design, develop and integrate cloud-based applications in an Agile setting. You will build scalable, highly available cloud solutions and drive end-to-end deployment strategies with Kubernetes clusters and IaC tooling.

You will coordinate with customers and teams to review designs, manage risks, and ensure alignment with roadmaps. Strong DevOps, CI/CD and automation experience is essential for maintaining rapid, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering (STEM) with 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree adds 4+ years.
• Minimum 3+ years Cloud Software Developer experience.
• 3+ years of OOP with Java, C++, and Python.
• Hands-on microservices design, development and deployment to Kubernetes environments (EKS/OpenShift).
• Cloud environments focusing on containerized workloads, databases and object storage.
• Experience building scalable, highly available enterprise cloud systems.
• 2+ years building apps leveraging relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on IaC with cloud services and CLI/configs.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and integration of cloud software in an Agile environment.

Job description

• Lead tasks related to design, development and integration of Cloud software applications in an Agile development environment. Develop Cloud based applications and configure the deployment environments to achieve end-to-end integration between Cloud and Non-Cloud components.
• Implement applications satisfying both the program requirements and the business vision & roadmap for Cloud technologies
• Coordinate with the development team and customers to review designs and estimates, including identifying and documenting risks, assumptions and limitations.
• Leverage DevOps concepts and best practices to build and continuously improve the automated build, test and deployment environments for the applications
• Provide operational support for applications and tools to meet high availability and other SLAs.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent (STEM) and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum 3+ years Cloud Software Developer
• Minimum 3+ years OOP (Java, C++, Python)
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices to Kubernetes based environments such as EKS, OpenShift, etc.
• Knowledge of microservice architectural patterns
• Cloud environments with focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage
• Experience developing scalable, highly available enterprise systems, ideally for Cloud
• Minimum 2 years' experience developing applications that leverage relational and noSQL databases
• Hands-on experience leveraging Cloud services for application development/deployment and using CLI commands and config files to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with DevOps tools and concepts, including but not limited to: Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines & automation.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or similar for other Cloud providers
• Scripting languages, such as Python and Bash.
• Ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Experience verifying designs are compliant with specifications.
