Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Cloud Services Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions supporting mission systems. You will deliver reliable, secure cloud services and optimize performance, scalability, and operational support across environments.

You will own designing scalable architectures, integrating automation and AI/ML services, and automating deployments and monitoring to ensure cost-efficiency and reliability for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience implementing and managing cloud services or cloud-based systems.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with IaC and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience implementing or supporting cloud networking and security controls (IAM, network security, encryption).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8140 compliance (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CASP, etc.).

This role focuses on delivering reliable, secure cloud services, integrating modern capabilities, and ensuring systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and operational support.

What you’ll own:

• Implement and manage cloud services supporting scalable, secure, and high‑performing environments
• Design and integrate scalable, secure cloud architectures
• Integrate modern capabilities, including automation and AI/ML services, into cloud environments as needed
• Optimize system performance, availability, and cost across cloud environments
• Automate service deployment, configuration, and operational processes

What you’ll build and deliver:

• Stable, secure, and scalable cloud services supporting mission needs
• Cloud environments optimized for performance, cost, and reliability
• Integrated capabilities (automation, AI/ML, or other services) aligned to operational use
• Efficient, repeatable deployments and streamlined operations

Here’s what you need:

• 2 years of experience implementing and managing cloud services or cloud‑based systems
• 2 years of hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience implementing or supporting cloud networking and security controls (e.g., IAM, network security, encryption)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree
• DoD 8140 compliance (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CASP, etc.)

Bonus points if you have:

• Cloud certifications with service specializations (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration
• Experience with RHEL or CentOS
• Experience integrating AI/ML services into cloud environments
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
• Experience with National Security systems and Air‑Gapped Environments Security

Clearance:

• Active Top‑Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility. The position may require a polygraph examination.

Compensation

The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is: $100,200–$203,400 USD.
