Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Utah is seeking Cloud Engineers to join our team and support government missions. You design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for mission workloads in a fast-paced, agile environment, with opportunities to grow into platform and automation responsibilities.

You'll work with Senior Cloud Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Security Engineers to deliver infrastructure builds, follow an established architecture, and own solutions as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Cloud engineering or infrastructure experience required.
• Hands-on IaC experience with Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation or Ansible.
• Willingness to operate in an agile, mission-focused environment.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• Active security clearance (Secret) is required; Top Secret preferred.

Accenture Federal Services is seeking Cloud Engineers to join our team and support our client at Hill Air Force Base. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for mission workloads in a fast‑paced, agile environment, with room to grow into deeper platform and automation responsibilities over time. You will work within a small delivery team alongside Senior Cloud Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Security Engineers, executing infrastructure builds and operational tasks under an established architecture while building toward greater design ownership. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on cloud engineering experience across any major provider and is comfortable operating in a centralized vision, decentralized command culture that emphasizes solution ownership and a fail‑fast, fail‑forward mindset.

What you’ll do:

• Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting mission‑critical government workloads
• Implement Infrastructure as Code for consistent, repeatable deployments (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
• Configure and manage identity, access, networking, and security controls across cloud environments
• Support CI/CD pipeline operations and containerized workload deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Operations & Incident Response Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and drive resolution across Tier 1, Tier 2, and select Tier 3 issues Respond to monitoring alerts and elevate complex problems with clear technical context Support patching cycles, baseline updates, and configuration management activities
• Security & Compliance Support Implement and maintain security controls, STIG compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation activities Support security audits and coordinate remediation with Security Engineering and ISSO teams
• Agile Delivery & Collaboration Operate within an Agile framework — participate in sprints, standups, and retrospectives Document infrastructure decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures Collaborate with senior engineers, security teams, and government personnel to support platform delivery

What you’ll need:

• Cloud engineering or infrastructure experience (Azure preferred)
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g.: Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
• Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g.: Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational tasks
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and/or incident response workflows
• Bonus Points if you have:
  • Multi‑cloud experience (AWS and Azure)
  • Experience with identity and access management, networking fundamentals, and/or cloud security controls
  • Experience with cloud migration or modernization projects
  • CompTIA Security+ (current) or equivalent security certification
  • Azure or AWS certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
