Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an Engineer Server and Cloud Computing to join our Information Technology and Transformation (IT&T) team. You will help design, deploy, and manage cloud and on-premise server environments to support our business needs.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Windows and Linux, multi-cloud platforms, and automation tools. You will partner with IT colleagues and vendors to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure aligned with our governance standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
Experience in Windows or Linux server administration.
Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS).
Knowledge of AD, ADFS, SCCM, VMWare, Cisco UCS, Veeam, Red Hat Satellite Server.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise on deployment of new systems per projects.
Assist in development of detailed implementation and contingency plans.
Continuously improve current state by performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Provide server administration and support for daily operations on-prem and cloud.
Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and solutions.
Leverage relationships with external service providers to achieve results.
Participate in evaluating new enterprise technologies and upgrades.
Participate in strategy and governance of infrastructure services.
Create and maintain documentation of compute services design.
