Job description

Position Description
ERT is seeking a Cloud Security Specialist to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Duties include:

1. Execute cloud security solutions across lifecycle strategy, design, implementation, and operations.
2. Provide domain expertise in both public and private cloud and enterprise technology.
3. Develop and manage Information Systems security, including data protection and software development.
4. Analyze information security systems and applications, and recommend and develop security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss.

Required Skills

1. 7+ years of relevant experience.
2. Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering security for cloud-native, distributed computing, and architectural solutions.
3. Experience with NIST security controls and implementation in federal systems, familiarity with CSAM and NOAA security processes.
4. Experience working with AWS security, identity, and compliance services (IAM, Resource Access Manager, KMS, Security Hub, SSO, etc.).
5. Experience working with AWS management and governance products (AWS Organizations, CloudWatch, Service Catalog, Control Tower, etc.).
6. Must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to access applicable government facilities/systems.

Education

BS in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent; MS preferred.

Location

This position is located on-site at NSOF in Suitland, MD. Some telework may be permitted.

Salary

The salary range for this role is $48,000 - $269,000/year. This range is a good faith estimate based on similar roles across the organization. ERT considers several factors when extending an employment offer, including location, scope, responsibilities, and a candidate’s experience, education, and skills.
