Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Melbourne, FL is seeking a highly qualified Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) with strong cloud security expertise to join the Network Security Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and operate security controls across cloud-native apps and infrastructure within AWS, embedding DevSecOps throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Graduate degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on AWS security experience (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC) essential.
• Experience securing containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevSecOps practices in CI/CD.
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) with Git-based version control.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Security Systems Engineering activities for secure network and cloud architectures.
• Design and secure AWS cloud and hybrid architectures (IAM, VPC, containers, Lambda).
• Integrate security into Agile development and SDLC processes with secure coding practices.
• Automate and enforce security controls in DevSecOps pipelines using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and policy-as-code.
• Implement and manage cloud-native logging, monitoring, and detection capabilities and support incident response.
• Support compliance and risk management (NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, GDPR).
• Collaborate with SI&T and cross-functional teams to validate security controls and maintain documentation.
