Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Proactive Security team within Cloud Security Group. This role leads the Proactive Protection team to help customers detect and prevent threats in cloud environments using advanced detection techniques.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive detection capabilities, build a scalable team, and deliver secure cloud workloads across a global footprint. This hybrid role requires regular on-site presence in New York.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or US Permanent Resident required.
• 7+ years in Software Engineering with at least 3+ years in management.
• Security and/or Cloud Security experience is required.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust or similar languages.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers building and optimizing the core pipeline that protects cloud workloads, containers, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Drive roadmap and technical strategy; hire, retain, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Architect enterprise-grade solutions that scale from thousands to millions of requests per second.
• Lead a distributed, global cloud security team across time zones to deliver high-quality products.
• Partner with product management to align capabilities with customer needs and platform evolution.
• Ensure automated validation workflows maintain CrowdStrike’s high security standards.
• Must be on-site 3+ days per week at the New York office.
