Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Cortex Cloud team in a hybrid setup. You will lead high‑performing software teams building scalable cloud security products and platforms, driving technical vision and end‑to‑end delivery from planning to operations.

The role emphasizes engineering excellence, collaboration with product and architecture, and strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

8+ years in software engineering for cloud services
2+ years leading software engineering teams
Proven experience delivering scalable cloud-native apps
5+ years designing cloud architectures on AWS/GCP/Azure
Hands-on programming in Golang or Python
Strong distributed systems and microservices expertise
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
Production services with emphasis on reliability and security
DevOps practices and infrastructure automation
Leadership with data-driven decision making and clear communication
Experience in Agile environments
Industry knowledge in cloud security preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and grow engineering teams building cloud security products
Define technical vision and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Own delivery across planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations
Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and operational excellence
Establish engineering metrics and drive incident management and improvements
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, and Customer Success
Balance priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative setting
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decisions
Promote diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning
Partner with support teams to improve customer experience
