Job summary

PNC is seeking a Security Engineer for its Cloud Security team to design, implement, and test security controls across AWS and Azure. You will automate security policies, integrate controls into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with SOC, Cloud Architects, and DevOps teams to maintain secure production workloads.

The role emphasizes scripting, CSPM tooling, and a strong focus on secure-by-default cloud infrastructure, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and influence security roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Experience performing security gap analyses on cloud services or infrastructure.
• Experience implementing security controls for public cloud workloads in Azure and AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with Git and branching workflows.
• Experience testing security controls to ensure effectiveness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects and influence large teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and test security controls for Azure resources and AWS services.
• Validate control effectiveness and promote controls to production workloads.
• Collaborate in an agile team and participate in planning sessions.
• Automate and orchestrate cloud deployments to enforce security standards in CI/CD pipelines.
• Support DevOps and Cloud Product teams in security integration.
