Placements24 seeks a skilled Cloud Security Engineer for a rapidly growing cloud solutions provider. This remote-first role offers flexibility and autonomy to secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

You will design, implement, and manage security controls, IAM, encryption, and DevSecOps practices; collaborate with development and operations teams; and stay ahead of threats with IaC automation and regular assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity/IT.
• Minimum 4 years in information security focusing on cloud.
• Proven experience securing AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Hands-on with cloud security tools and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Implement and manage IAM in the cloud.
• Deploy and configure security services such as firewalls, WAFs, security groups, and encryption.
• Monitor cloud environments for threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance deviations.
• Respond to security incidents in the cloud with analysis and remediation.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate to implement DevSecOps and IaC automation.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing cloud solutions provider, is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of cloud-based infrastructure and services. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud security solutions across various platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in cloud security best practices, extensive experience with cloud security tools, and a passion for protecting cloud environments from evolving threats. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security throughout the cloud lifecycle, ensuring scalability, compliance, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions in the cloud.
• Deploy and configure security services such as firewalls, WAFs, security groups, and encryption.
• Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance deviations.
• Respond to security incidents in the cloud, performing analysis and implementing remediation.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security engineering.
• Proven experience securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security concepts, IAM, network security, and data protection in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and services (e.g., CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Azure Security Center, Google Security Command Center).
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is highly desirable.
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security implications.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote-first setting.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSK) are a strong advantage.
