Job summary

Interclypse, Inc. in Maryland is seeking an on-site Cloud Security Engineer to implement and monitor security controls across customer cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Under guidance of senior engineers, you will configure security tooling, respond to alerts, and help enforce policies while advancing your career through mentorship and growth opportunities at Interclypse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, engineering, or related technical field preferred.
• At least 3 years IT experience with emphasis on cloud services or system administration.
• At least 1 year hands-on with core cloud services in AWS or Azure; AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring security controls in customer cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Configure cloud-native security tools under supervision of senior engineers.
• Respond to security alerts and help enforce security policies.

Interclypse is supporting several Maryland state agencies in the modernization and sustainment of critical systems. All positions are required to be on-site at various locations in Maryland.

Position Summary:

Assists in the implementation and monitoring of security controls within the customer's cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Works under the supervision of senior engineers to configure cloud-native security tools, respond to security alerts, and help enforce security policies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is preferred.

General Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in IT, with an emphasis on cloud services or system administration.

Specialized Experience: At least one (1) year of hands-on experience with core cloud services in AWS or Azure. Basic knowledge of cloud security principles and a relevant certification (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) is required.
