Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Los Angeles is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to own the security layer of our cloud stack, including AWS GovCloud and commercial environments, IAM/KMS, VPC segmentation, and guardrails across tenants.

You will hunt threats, automate detections as code, secure CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and design scalable, auditable security controls that enable rapid engineering while meeting GovCloud/ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering or DevSecOps with production ownership.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Deep AWS security expertise across IAM, KMS, VPC, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, and WAF.
• Experience in threat detection, threat hunting, and detection-as-code.
• Experience operationalizing threat intelligence and centralized logging/ SIEM.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate security posture for AWS GovCloud and commercial environments.
• Hunt across cloud, application, and identity telemetry for anomalous behavior.
• Architect centralized logging, SIEM, and security monitoring.
• Implement and improve security tooling: CSPM, vulnerability management, secrets management.
• Secure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and container/Kubernetes workloads.
• Build security infrastructure with Terraform and containerization.
