Delphi-US - Peacemakers In The Talent War is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to secure AWS and Azure environments in a hybrid setting. The role focuses on IAM, encryption, and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines to protect containers and cloud infrastructure.

You'll monitor security events with Splunk, address CSPM/CIEM findings, and harden Kubernetes (EKS) workloads. This contract position pays $45-$60 hourly and requires 3+ years of cloud security experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, IT, CS, or equivalent.
• 3+ years hands-on cloud security engineering/operations.
• Experience securing AWS and Azure environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud security tools and DevSecOps.
• Kubernetes (EKS) and container security experience.
• Security certifications preferred (AWS, Azure, CISSP, CCSP).

Cloud Security Engineer | Location: Springfield, MA | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $45-$60

Our client is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to support enterprise cloud security initiatives within a hybrid environment. This role involves securing AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms, implementing best practices, and integrating security controls into CI\/CD pipelines to safeguard container workloads and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and implements security measures for AWS and Azure environments, including IAM, encryption, and monitoring tools.
• Monitors and investigates cloud security events using Splunk and native security platforms.
• Analyzes and remediates CSPM and CIEM findings, focusing on permissions, privileges, and misconfigurations.
• Secures Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and Amazon ECS Fargate container workloads through hardening and security controls.
• Implements security controls within CI\/CD pipelines, covering code, dependencies, Infrastructure-as-Code, and secrets management.
• Conducts cloud security architecture reviews, IAM assessments, and Infrastructure-as-Code security evaluations.
• Utilizes AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, CNAPP platforms, and Tenable to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develops technical documentation, security findings reports, and collaborates with engineering teams to resolve complex security issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in cloud security engineering or operations.
• Proven experience securing AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud security tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Certifications such as AWS, Azure, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and container security, including IAM roles, network policies, and image scanning.
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools like Splunk, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Tenable.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code security reviews (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud security architecture and governance.
• Familiarity with CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, and CWPP platforms beyond native tools.
• Prior involvement in cloud migration projects with security best practices.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security credentials.
