Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Corporate Counsel to influence cloud security strategy and guidance for our global customers. You will partner with security teams to translate complex legal challenges into practical solutions that protect and empower AWS clients.

The role involves advising on cybersecurity regulations, negotiating technology and data licenses, and supporting the global security response with clear legal perspectives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.
• Experience in oral and written communication.
• Ability to handle ambiguous challenges through strong problem solving.
• Export Control Requirement: U.S. citizen or eligible status per export laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on cloud security and related regulatory matters.
• Advise on emerging cybersecurity regulations and shaping public policy strategy.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on security commitments in cloud enterprise agreements.
• Lead negotiations for technology, intellectual property and data licensing.
• Support the global security response team with nuanced legal perspectives in ambiguous scenarios.
