Job summary

Google is seeking a Security Engineer to help protect Alphabet's multi-cloud infrastructure. You will own and drive resolution of complex security incidents, work with software engineers to fix vulnerabilities, and contribute to a healthy cloud security posture.

In this role, you will define, measure, prevent, remediate, and sustain security practices across CSC, supporting acquisitions and Bet companies, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
• 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to secure, high-quality engineering solutions for Alphabet’s multi-cloud infrastructure, owning specific technical features and components.
• Implement cloud security controls and support the maintenance of well-lit paths, ensuring that solutions balance developer velocity with security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate and support the enforcement of security controls within assigned project scopes.
• Identify and implement technical improvements to existing security controls, contributing to the refinement of security standards across cloud initiatives.
