Job summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The role encompasses strategic planning and enterprise cybersecurity work, including cloud security architecture and secure migration initiatives.

The successful candidate will perform vulnerability assessments, incident response, and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, liaising with multidisciplinary teams and customers. Target salary range is $120,001–$160,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelors with 5+ years' experience; Masters 3+ years; PhD 0 years; equivalent in experience.
• Expert in cloud security architecture, cloud apps security, and data migration to cloud.
• Proficient in vulnerability scanning and incident response for enterprise IT.
• Ability to create technical reports and actionable documentation.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, NICE frameworks and security guidelines.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in selecting and deploying hardware, software, and cloud providers, including SLAs.
• Implement data migration strategies with security and efficiency considerations.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new cybersecurity tools aligned with IT strategy.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, incident response, and remediation of systems.
• Engage in cybersecurity defense addressing firewalls and secure networks.
• Support operations by applying cybersecurity knowledge to enterprise needs.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing assessments and remedial actions.
• Translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear documentation.
