Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a hands-on Cloud Security Architect to design, secure, and assess enterprise cloud environments (AWS with Azure/GCP familiarity). You will partner with engineering and product teams to embed security into cloud architectures and CI/CD pipelines, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite) in DC or Silver Spring.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of security experience, strong cloud expertise, scripting ability, and IAM design skills, plus certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience with 6-8 years.
• Strong hands-on understanding of public cloud infrastructure and multi-account environments.
• Solid information security principles, risk management, and compliance for large-scale clouds.
• Proven experience securing AWS-based environments with Azure exposure; GCP a plus.
• Automation of security processes and CI/CD integration with engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Node.js for automation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Cloud Security SME for Warner Bros. Discovery’s Information Security org.
• Identify cloud security risks across AWS, Azure, and GCP and lead mitigations.
• Create architecture and security design artifacts for cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams on secure network, compute, and serverless designs.
• Provide hands-on IAM guidance and ensure least-privilege access.
• Review AI/ML workloads for secure design patterns and data protection.
• Engage with cloud providers to evaluate features and roadmaps.
• Evaluate cloud security tools and conduct proof-of-value assessments.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain cloud security documentation.
