Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to design, secure, and assess enterprise cloud environments across AWS with Azure exposure and GCP awareness. This hybrid role is based in the DC/Silver Spring area, requiring a 3-day onsite schedule.

You will lead security architecture, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across engineering for secure CI/CD practices and threat mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with 6-8 years in the field.
• Hands-on security in decentralized, hybrid, multi-account cloud environments.
• Knowledge of information security, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience designing and securing AWS with Azure exposure; GCP a plus.
• Automate security processes and integrate into CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Node.js for automation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Cloud Security SME for informed guidance on architecture and engineering.
• Identify cloud security risks across AWS, Azure, and GCP; lead mitigation efforts.
• Design architecture and security artifacts for solutions, in-house or vendor-built.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to secure network, compute, container, and serverless.
• Provide IAM guidance for least-privilege access across clouds.
• Review AI/ML workloads for secure design patterns and data protection.
• Engage with cloud providers to assess security features and roadmaps.
• Evaluate CSPM/CNAPP tools; conduct proof-of-value and risk reduction.
• Mentor junior team members; develop cloud security docs and standards.
• Align security solutions with business/tech strategy; stay current on threats.
