Job summary

Amazon is hiring Software Development Engineers to build mission-critical cloud services in secure environments, supporting national security. You will own full code lifecycles, collaborate across teams, and tackle large-scale distributed systems that impact millions of customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields OR completed a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in specified fields
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Design and develop scalable cloud-native solutions using microservices in distributed environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective.
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity and stay current with tech trends.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and patterns.
• Work in an agile CI/CD environment with on-call responsibilities.
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
