Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team, a central pillar of our platform reliability and customer experience in our global customer success team.

You will provide advanced technical support for Vultr’s products and infrastructure, serving as an escalation point for complex issues and supporting both customers and internal teams in diagnosing and resolving platform-related problems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise technical support or a similar advanced support role (3+ years).
• Strong experience with Linux systems and command-line troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of troubleshooting methodologies for complex technical issues.
• Experience with enterprise networking concepts for platform-level issues.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments in an IaaS/cloud context.
• Strong customer service and communication skills under pressure.
• Ability to work independently in a 24/7 operations environment.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance on Vultr products and services, including escalated issues.
• Act as first responder to platform-level alerts, assess impact, troubleshoot, and escalate as needed.
• Lead complex incident analysis, root cause investigations, and preventive recommendations.
• Coordinate with system admins, engineering, networking and other teams to resolve platform issues.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and knowledge base to improve team effectiveness.
• Mentor junior team members and support enterprise customer environments.
