USA MOT Motion Industries, Inc. invites applicants for an Site Reliability Engineer/Cloud Engineer Intern position.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and automation of cloud systems during hands‑on learning experiences at our Birmingham, AL headquarters. The role emphasizes SRE principles, cloud familiarity (Google Cloud preferred), DevOps practices, monitoring, and automation.

Qualifications

Working on a BS degree in a computer related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering)
Familiarly with SRE principles
Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies (Google Cloud preferred)
Familiarity with web technology, DevOps monitoring tools
Familiarity of DevOps practices (e.g. CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration)
Must be self‑motivated and know when to seek guidance.
Individual must be a self‑starter and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving and operation support skills.

Responsibilities

Support the team to ensure system reliability, scalability, and uptime.
Assist to incident response and root cause analysis to improve system resilience.
Help monitor and maintain cloud resources to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Actively participate brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions and provide suggestions.
Participate in automation and continuous process improvement cycles.
Work alongside senior team members on assigned task.
