Job summary

Core Specialty is seeking a Cloud Engineering Lead to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud environments. You will mentor a team of cloud engineers and drive cloud adoption across the organization, collaborating with DevOps, development, and security teams to deliver robust solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cloud engineering with leadership experience, proficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and strong IaC automation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering/architecture/infrastructure, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms including architecture, deployment, and operations.
• Proficiency with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Design secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with business requirements and best practices.
• Develop and execute cloud strategies including migration, optimization, and modernization plans.
• Oversee IaC development to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently.
• Monitor usage and optimize costs with governance and cost-control measures.
• Ensure cloud environments meet security standards and compliance requirements.
• Lead incident response for cloud-related issues and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software development, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions.
• Implement monitoring and logging to track performance and health of cloud environments.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on cloud performance, incidents, and strategic initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
