Job summary

Redpanda Data is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead one of our Cloud engineering teams. You’ll own day-to-day delivery, quality, and operational excellence across Redpanda Cloud, Agentic Data Plane, and related services.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, and drive on-time, high-quality launches while scaling a fast-growing, distributed, remote-first team. The role emphasizes governance, reliability, incident response, and clear career development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, including SaaS platforms.
• 3+ years managing technical engineering teams with delivery track record.
• Experience with cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Redpanda Cloud engineering team.
• Own end-to-end delivery of the team's roadmap with on-time launches.
• Maintain operational excellence: incidents, on-call health, SLOs, day-2 ops.
• Provide career development, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Hire, onboard, and retain top engineers; participate in interviews.
• Collaborate with Product to translate priorities into engineering plans.
• Surface risks and dependencies early.
• Be data-driven to identify what's working and where to invest.
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Solutions to unblock customers.
