Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to join a development team supporting an Intelligence customer in a high-security environment.

You will manage and operate OpenShift platforms across cloud and datacenter, implement GitOps, and collaborate across teams to scale services while maintaining compliance. You will work with security to uphold 8570 IAT Level II controls, sponsor polygraph if needed, and deploy platforms at multiple sites including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of developer experience.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph or ability to sponsor polygraph.

Responsibilities

• O&M of OpenShift across cloud/datacenter (vSphere) environments.
• Support OpenShift operators and GitOps frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps.
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online.
• Collaborate with teams to define integration needs and scale platforms.
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and secure solutions.
• Support data services such as RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack.
• Compile detailed technical documentation.

Job Description Summary:

Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
• Compile detailed documentation

Education/Experience:

• Active TS/SCI and polygraph. Can sponsor for polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years Developer experience
• Meet 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
