Job summary

Target's Cloud & Compute organization seeks engineers to design, automate, and scale cloud-native infrastructure. You will develop robust software components, review code, and participate in ceremonies that influence architecture while balancing speed and reliability.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and security to build reliable services, improve automation, and raise the bar for performance and observability. This hybrid role requires onsite MN work with flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript.
• Foundational understanding of software engineering practices including data structures, debugging, testing, version control, code reviews, and writing maintainable code.
• Familiarity with cloud, platform, or distributed systems concepts such as APIs, containers, Kubernetes, networking, storage, messaging/streaming, observability, or service reliability.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly with guidance from more senior engineers.
• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
