Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a scalable cloud platform powering autonomous off-road systems. You’ll work with AWS, Node.js/TypeScript, and IaC to support real-time data ingestion, processing, and API tooling for client engineering teams.

The role emphasizes infrastructure automation, observability with Datadog, and collaboration across software and hardware teams, with a focus on IoT at scale and long‑lived,

Qualifications

6+ years in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
Strong AWS design, deployment, and operations experience.
IaC expertise with Terraform and related tooling.
Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS/EKS.
Experience building scalable distributed systems and data platforms.
Familiar with event-driven architectures and streaming tech (Kafka, Kinesis).
Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

Architect scalable cloud infrastructure and production platform code.
Develop and operate real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines.
Document architecture, ops processes, and key technical decisions.
Collaborate with client engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
