Job summary

WEC Energy Group is seeking an IT Cloud Server & Storage Platform Engineer in the Milwaukee/Pewaukee/Green Bay area with hybrid work options. The role focuses on building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, collaborating with development teams to deploy cloud-based apps and services, and advancing IaC practices.

Responsibilities include provisioning cloud resources, backup/patch management, and participating in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2+ years IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS development.
• Knowledge of Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, AWS EC2, AWS Storage, or AWS Backup.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud configs.

Responsibilities

• Provision virtual machines and cloud storage resources.
• Manage backup and patching of cloud resources.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code for provisioning resources.
• Maintain shared IaC modules library.
• Align on-premise and cloud infrastructure standards.
• Participate in incident response for cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to 24x7 on-call rotation.
