Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer II to help build and evolve cloud platform capabilities across AWS, Azure, and private clouds. You will contribute to platform foundations, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives while aligning with governance and security standards.

The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code, automation, and collaborating with engineers to deliver scalable, secure solutions and to advance the Unified Cloud strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud/platform engineering or related technical disciplines.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Understanding of source control concepts and tools such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise cloud platform capabilities across AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.
• Design and implement cloud foundations, landing zones, shared services, and platform standards.
• Create reusable engineering patterns to enable safe, efficient consumption of cloud services.
