Wyetech, LLC is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role, primarily in Columbia, MD. The candidate will drive cloud-based infrastructure, build automation, and integration of open-source components to support DoD/federal government projects.

Strong Python/Go skills and Linux foundation are required. Required 5+ years in Platform Engineering or Software Development with a related degree, willingness to travel to San Antonio, TX periodically, and a hybrid schedule with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Platform Engineering or Software Development experience with a related degree.
• Willing to travel to San Antonio, TX on average 3-4 days every three months.
• Hybrid environment in Columbia, MD with 1-2 days per week in-office.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and modern cloud tooling to define and manage virtual infrastructure.
• Solid Linux systems knowledge, OS deployment/orchestration, and shell scripting (Shell/Bash).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to production.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Develop automation and CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Integrate open-source components and Big Data/Cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with Architects and cross-functional teams on strategic goals.
