Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with AWS experience and strong Python or Go skills, plus a solid Linux foundation. You will contribute to cloud-ready software components and integrate open-source code to address complex problems using cutting-edge Big Data/Cloud tech.

Hybrid work is available with in-office collaboration in Columbia, MD. The role requires 5+ years of related experience or 3+ years with a related master's, plus DoD 8570/8140 compliance may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have AWS experience developing and deploying infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes or vendor flavor of Kubernetes, Ansible, storage layers (Ceph, Rook, Longhorn).
• Programming in Python or Go.
• Solid Linux systems knowledge; shell scripting proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Hybrid work schedule; 1–2 days per week in Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture for software from prototype to production.
• Define, build and manage virtual cloud infrastructure using modern IaC tools.
• Work with Architects to achieve broader strategic goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
