Job summary

Spire is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to advance our internal developer platform on AWS. This hands-on role targets someone with a few years of experience who wants to grow in platform engineering, cloud operations, observability, and developer experience.

You will work with Infra, Security, IT, and software teams to improve how our platform runs, how developers ship software, and how we manage cloud spend to maximize efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering
• Strong AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) experience
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable troubleshooting distributed systems and production issues
• Basic observability concepts: metrics, logs, traces, alerts
• Ability to write code or libraries to support developer workflows
• Good communication and customer-focused mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of AWS spend across platform and workloads
• Identify cost optimization opportunities without sacrificing reliability or developer experience
• Support migration of workloads onto the internal developer platform
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues raised by internal customers
• Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and improvements across platform services
• Build and maintain code libraries, templates, and integrations for instrumenting and observing systems
• Collaborate with platform observability and delivery tooling teams across AWS, GitHub, ArgoCD, and Grafana ecosystems
