• Performs functional, timeline, and interface analyses for hardware/software specs.
• Uses trends and metrics to identify improvements in frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Ensures system functionality, performance, and configuration issues are addressed.
• Acts as an emerging authority applying extensive technical expertise.
• Designs technical solutions to complex problems.
• Exerts latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Position Overview

The Cloud Platform Engineer 3 provides technical expertise in the planning, integration, performance, and improvement of cloud-based platforms and distributed virtual environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms.
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.
• Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes.
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues.
• Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.

Required Certifications

• IAT-2 certification required.
• One or more cloud certifications required.

Clearance Requirement

• Active Secret clearance required.
