Job summary

Gormat is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer 3 to provide expertise in planning, integration, performance, and improvement of cloud-based platforms and distributed virtual environments. Responsibilities include technical analyses for cloud platforms, developing solutions for health of distributed VMs, and applying metrics to drive improvements.

Remote role with up to 25% travel; requires an active Secret clearance and cloud certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Requires a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• IAT-2 certification is required.
• One or more cloud certifications required.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms.
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of distributed VMs.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.
• Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes.
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues.
• Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
