Job summary

Gormat is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer 3 to drive planning, integration, performance, and improvement of cloud-based platforms and distributed virtual environments. You will analyze hardware/software specs, develop scalable solutions, and steer health monitoring for multiple distributed VMs.

The role requires an advanced degree path with significant cloud certifications and an active Secret clearance, enabling you to lead with technical authority on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• IAT-2 certification required.
• One or more cloud certifications required.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms.
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.
• Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes.
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues.
• Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
