Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Overview:

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to help design and build the foundational cloud infrastructure that supports our software engineering teams. In this role, you’ll be hands-on in developing scalable, secure, and automated cloud platform solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the organization. You'll be instrumental in delivering standardized, modernized, and reliable cloud services used enterprise-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, resilient cloud platform products and services that promote performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Build and manage a highly available microservices platform using Kubernetes.
• Evaluate new cloud-native services for production readiness, ensuring they meet operational, performance, and supportability standards.
• Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and standardized architectural patterns.
• Develop and deploy secure, scalable, and high-performance software to support platform needs.
• Establish CI/CD best practices and create tools that enable broad adoption of infrastructure and platform services.
• Analyze complex technical challenges and recommend data-driven, actionable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure platforms are efficient, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
• Ensure all solutions scale effectively to support our organization’s rapid growth and transformation goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
• 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud services in large-scale enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Proven experience with DevOps tools and methodologies (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Packer, GitHub, Vault, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience running Kubernetes in production across diverse infrastructure environments.
• Solid understanding of configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack).
• Demonstrated ability to build distributed, highly available systems within a microservices architecture.
• Strong analytical thinking and technical judgment.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• NoSQL/Document Databases
• Automated testing and CI/CD delivery models
• Familiarity with both AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments
