Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-scale Azure IaaS/PaaS platforms. The role emphasizes Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning, Python automation, and data services integration, within an Agile team environment.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in cloud environments, Azure as the primary platform, Terraform expertise, and strong scripting capabilities to drive scalable, secure platform capabilities across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• Hands-on Azure experience with Azure as primary cloud platform.
• 4+ years Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning and IaC.
• Strong Python development for automation and cloud platform engineering.
• Experience with Azure data-related services, including analytics platforms or related cloud products.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, enhance, and support enterprise-scale cloud platforms and IaaS/PaaS solutions.
• Develop and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Python.
• Work extensively with Azure cloud services to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable platform capabilities.
• Support cloud analytics, data products, and platform services, coordinating with application and data teams as needed.
• Participate in cloud implementations, enhancements, upgrades, migrations, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver cloud platform capabilities and continuous improvements.
• Help establish and maintain scalable platform patterns, standards, and automation across the enterprise.

• 6+ years of experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments, building and supporting IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Heavy hands‑on Azure experience with strong overall cloud expertise; Azure should be the candidate’s primary cloud platform.
• 4+ years of hands‑on Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong Python development/scripting experience for automation and cloud platform engineering.
• Experience with Azure data‑related services, including analytics platforms, data services, or related cloud products.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

• Experience designing platforms with security, scalability, and enterprise governance requirements in mind.
